Job summary

Sinclair, Inc. is seeking a part-time Production Assistant in Columbus, OH to help prepare the studio for live broadcasts and support on-air talent during Good Day Columbus.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, operating the teleprompter, and coordinating with engineering and news staff. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a live production environment is preferred.
• Degree in a related field is preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the studio for live newscasts.
• Operate teleprompter.
• Keep track of broadcast cues and talent positions in studio.
• Assist talent and guests with microphones and other equipment.
• Move and position studio cameras and set pieces.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of studio space and equipment.
• Prepare and guide studio guests from standby locations to on-air interviews or segments.
• Support station operations by assisting Engineering, News, and other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

ABC 6 and FOX 28 has an exciting opportunity for a Part‑time production assistant for Good Day Columbus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and maintain the studio for live newscasts
• Operate teleprompter
• Keep track of broadcast cues and talent positions in studio
• Assist talent and guests with microphones and other equipment
• Move and position multiple studio cameras and set pieces
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of studio space and equipment
• Prepare and guide studio guests from standby locations to on-air interviews or segments
• Support operation of the station by assisting Engineering, News, and other departments
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Previous experience in a live production environment as a support crew or a degree in a related field preferred.

Work requirements:

• Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for multiple hours at a time
• Usage of ladders up to 25ft
• Availability to work early morning hours including weekends and holidays
