Job summary

L&M Corrugated seeks a Production Assistant to support day-to-day production operations on-site. You’ll work with the Plant Manager to track performance, prepare production information, and assist with purchasing, inventory, and reporting on the production floor.

You’ll help keep operations organized and accurate, spending time both at a computer and on the production floor, learning plant workflows and contributing to continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical education is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accurate information and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Comfort with numbers, production data, reports, and tracking tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with production employees, leaders, and suppliers.
• Proactive, dependable approach and willingness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production data and reports for Daily Huddle meetings and other operational needs.
• Update daily machine and production metrics for current performance.
• Monitor Kanban items and replenish supplies effectively.
• Purchase MRO and non-inventoried items based on stock levels.
• Receive, verify, organize, and stock office, maintenance, and production supplies.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, delivery timing, and discrepancies.
• Support the Plant Manager with data gathering, special reports, and projects.
• Coordinate information across Production, Maintenance, and other departments.
• Maintain records, spreadsheets, and tracking tools for production support.
• Identify opportunities to improve organization, inventory flow, and reporting processes.
• Manage multiple priorities while providing timely, accurate support.

L&M Corrugated is seeking a Production Assistant to support the day-to-day needs of our production operation. Working closely with the Plant Manager, you'll help track performance, prepare production information, support purchasing and inventory needs, and keep important operational details moving.

What You'll Do

As a Production Assistant, you'll work closely with the Plant Manager and production team to support reporting, purchasing, inventory, communication, and the day-to-day details that help keep operations running smoothly.

• Preparing production data and reports for Daily Huddle meetings and other operational needs
• Updating daily machine and production metrics so teams have accurate, current performance information
• Monitoring Kanban items and supply levels and helping improve replenishment processes
• Purchasing MRO and non-inventoried production items based on stock levels and operational needs
• Receiving, verifying, organizing, and stocking office, maintenance, and production supplies
• Communicating with suppliers regarding routine orders, delivery timing, availability, and discrepancies
• Supporting the Plant Manager with data gathering, special reports, projects, and operational follow-up
• Coordinating information and follow-up across Production, Maintenance, and other departments
• Maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets, and tracking tools used to support production
• Identifying opportunities to improve organization, inventory flow, reporting, and administrative processes
• Managing multiple priorities while providing timely, accurate, and professional support
• Performing other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical education is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Prior manufacturing, production, inventory, purchasing, materials, or administrative support experience is preferred

This position offers broad exposure to production operations and the opportunity to build experience in reporting, materials and inventory, purchasing, process improvement, and plant coordination.
