Job summary

American-Gypsum is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to manage raw material inventory, coordinate replenishment with the Production Manager, and maintain ERP records of purchase orders, deliveries and inventory.

You will order materials, track shipments, prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports, and communicate with vendors about status, lead times and quality concerns. This full-time, on-site role offers a competitive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management software such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Occasional weekend inventory cycle counts.
  • Occasional local travel in a personal or company vehicle is required.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Support production planning and administrative reporting.
  • Assist with special events (safety luncheons, recognition programs, tours).
  • Support safety culture by adhering to all safety requirements and attending meetings.

Job description

Work Schedule: 10 - 12-hours.

Starting Pay: Hourly-non-exempt

Full or Part Time: Full-time only

Pay Range: $26.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions

Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate replenishment with Production Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Purchasing or inventory control experience in manufacturing.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Working Conditions

Primary work performed in plant and production office.

Must be physically capable of climbing stairs and sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
