Job description

Position Summary

The role plans all production, stamping and hood loader operations according to PRP demands established in ERP, leading the Shipping/Receiving department and ensuring all necessary products and support are available to meet production and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Plan daily, weekly and monthly production per PRP demand established by Customer Service and work closely with toolroom, production and customer service to ensure on‑time completion.
  • Oversee raw material, packaging and other supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled runs, ordering packaging and other support supplies, and maintaining accurate inventories.
  • Schedule and track all shipments and secondary operations (e.g., plating), maintaining communications with subcontractors.
  • Serve as the System Process Administrator (SPA) for ERP system issues and corrections, collaborating with IT to improve ERP performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all manufacturing operation metrics and record them according to IATF requirements.
  • Coordinate training for shipping and receiving personnel as needed.
  • Lead the shipping receiving personnel, including time and attendance, hiring and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure all final audited finished goods are placed into the warehouse in a timely manner by the Shipping/Receiving Clerk for efficient flow.
  • Receive all direct and indirect invoices and materials into ERP.
  • Report first‑time quality of production to the plant manager and controller on a monthly basis.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly production, scrap and OEE reports.
  • Work closely with finance to ensure production and sales targets are met.
  • Ensure all scrap is weighed and logged.
EHS
  • Comply with and enforce the PKC Group Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
  • Comply with the environmental work instructions applicable to the position.
  • Report any deviation from environmental operational controls and communicate improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in EHS training.
Qualifications
  • Education and experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years documented manufacturing experience.
    • Ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations sufficient for maintaining accurate records and reports, as acquired through completion of high school education.
  • Skill and knowledge requirements:
    • Analytical skills for decision making and problem solving in scheduling, recommendation, costs, purchases, etc.
    • Exceptional communication skills for training, guiding personnel and dealing with customer concerns and requirements.
    • Forklift certified or willing to learn to drive forklift.
  • Working conditions:
    • Ability to move about 50% of the work time to gather and distribute information and reports, and to stay in one place for the remaining 50% to analyze and prepare documentation and/or reports.
    • Adaptability to changes in activities and plans to accommodate changing schedules.
    • Ability to travel on business as necessary.
