Responsibilities

• Package and ship coffee orders.
• Produce kegged cold brew; wash kegs; maintain cold brew space.
• Deliver orders to wholesale accounts on a weekly route.
• Weigh batches for daily roasting.
• Roast coffee to Boxcar's standards.
• Maintain roasting machines and roastery equipment.
• Set up and participate in cuppings.
• Maintain a clean and organized roastery space.
• Take on other tasks as assigned.
• Roasting begins after training and demonstrated proficiency.

Position Overview

The core duties include order fulfillment, from weighing green coffee batches to final delivery, and maintaining a clean and organized roastery space. Other duties include maintaining roastery equipment, regular QC tastings, and eventually roasting coffee to Boxcar’s high quality standards. A successful production assistant brings a sense of urgency to every task, pays attention to fine details, and sees each day as an opportunity to learn and improve.

Key Responsibilities

• Package and ship coffee orders
• Produce Boxcar's kegged cold brew coffee, wash kegs, and maintain cold brew production space
• Deliver orders to wholesale accounts across the Front Range on a weekly delivery route
• Weigh batches for daily roasting*
• Roast coffee to Boxcar's strict standards*
• Maintain coffee roasting machines and other roastery equipment
• Set up and participate in regular cuppings
• Maintain a clean and organized roastery space
• Take on other tasks and duties as assigned
• Roasting begins after the training period and once the employee has demonstrated proficiency in all other key responsibilities

Compensation

• Hourly $23.00
• Health insurance options with 75% employer contribution
