Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Mechanical/Hydraulic Technician is an important member of the team that builds and tests our product within budget and schedule. This position produces high quality assemblies in accordance with specific engineering drawings and is closely involved with the project from beginning of assembly, through testing and shipment. The Technician must have working knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic procedures from fabrication through assembly. Perform other routine duties as directed by the Manufacturing manager or assembly lead. The Hydraulic Assembler collaborates closely with engineering and quality teams to contribute to the overall success of production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aerospace industry standards and practices, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but not limited to):
  • Ability to assemble High and Low pressure circuits using hydraulic schematics.
  • Frequent communication between Engineers, Management, and other Teams is expected.
  • Ability to operate high pressure hose assembly equipment, tube bending equipment, and various hand tools is required for bending, crimping, and flaring.
  • Ability to cut and bend tubing, then route tubing and connect various fittings.
  • Assemble hydraulic components, including valves, pumps, cylinders, and hoses.
  • Must be focused on safety and product quality, with ability to safely lift up to 25 Lbs.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a minimum of supervision.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on assembly procedures and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • U.S. Persons only, per ITAR regulations
  • Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
  • Attention to detail, with clear focus and a strong desire to suceed
  • Ability to analyze and improve processes to improve quality and efficiency
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with industry-standard codes for hydraulics
  • Be safety conscious, dependable, and contribute to our positive environment and culture
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to inspect your own work
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Trade school degree or certificate is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of hydraulic assembly experience
  • Experience with HVAC/R or hydraulic equipment is desired
  • Experience preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
