Production Assembly Supervisor (Project Management)

Majors Plastics Inc, a 100% employee-owned plastics molding company, is looking for a Production Assembly Supervisor. The supervisor will oversee the shift and its personnel effectively and efficiently, ensuring high productivity and adherence to customer quality standards.

Position Responsibilities

• Supervise production, training, and quality of employees.
• Maintain quality and calibration of assembly equipment.
• Ensure ergonomic and efficient workstations for optimal process speed.
• Identify housekeeping opportunities and implement corrections.
• Report machine problems promptly to maintenance and document work orders.
• Complete accurate reports on time.
• Keep records of operator hours, production, and rework for daily reports.
• Manage product transfers from warehouse to assembly electronically and physically.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of purchased and molded parts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Administer safety procedures and programs for shift personnel.
• Conduct daily shift meetings to relay information to employees.
• Input daily production and rejects into the computer.
• Assist supervisors in verifying MPS accuracy and making necessary adjustments following change request procedures.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Ability to participate actively in problem-solving activities.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Excel and email.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff.
• Ability to plan effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and documentation.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of associates.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, with some weekends required. Training on the 1st shift, with gradual transition to 2nd or 3rd shift.

1st shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

2nd shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

3rd shift: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am
