Job summary

Nova Biomedical is looking for a Production Assembler II to join their team on-site in Norwood. The role includes assembling and testing electrical and mechanical components and performing quality tests to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.

This position requires 3–5 years of small assembly experience, proficiency in crimping and soldering, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. The hourly rate ranges from $22 to $25 with a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage and PTO.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of small assembly experience.
  • Experience crimping, soldering, and assembling cables and harnesses.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Verify and inspect previous builds.
  • Participate in 5S and ESP activities.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated health and safety awareness in a manufacturing environment.
  • Use PPE correctly.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with hand tools and gauges.

Production Assembler II

Responsibilities include assembling and testing electrical/mechanical components and consumable products, reading manufacturing instructions, performing quality tests, maintaining an organized work area, and participating in continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test units complying with work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Perform HIPOT testing, electrical safety testing, and calibration.
  • Assemble and test electro‑mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Pack, label, and inspect consumable products.
  • Use standard hand tools safely.
  • Prepare units for final quality inspection.
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain a clean work area.
  • Assist with assembly, calibration, and testing of most product lines.
  • Support Service department with occasional repairs.
  • Provide input to Engineering on process and product development.
  • Operate automated line for consumable production.

Work Location and Compensation

On‑site in Norwood facility 5 days/week (M‑F), target hourly rate $22–$25. Working hours 05:30 AM – 02:00 PM.
