Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Production Assembler II for its Norwood, MA facility. The role requires reading work instructions, drawings, and BOMs to assemble, calibrate, test, and inspect electro-mechanical components and consumables.

You will support quality, engage in continuous improvement, and collaborate with Engineering and Service teams to keep manufacturing operations efficient. You will operate various testing equipment, perform electrical safety tests, and help prepare units for final

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of small assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in crimping, soldering, and assembling cables and wire harnesses.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing work instructions, engineering drawings, routings, and bills of material.
• Ability to inspect and verify completed assemblies for accuracy and quality.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements.
• Experience participating in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate hand tools and gauges.
• Understanding of manufacturing health and safety requirements and associated regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test units according to work instructions and quality procedures.
• Perform HIPOT testing, electrical safety testing, and calibration.
• Assemble and test electro-mechanical components and assemblies following BOMs and manufacturing docs.
• Assemble, package, label, and inspect consumable products per instructions and quality standards.
• Safely operate standard hand tools and power tools.
• Prepare units for final quality inspection per procedures.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy within production cells.
• Maintain clean, organized work environment and participate in lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Service teams to support process and product improvements.
• Operate automated production equipment for manufacture, packaging, and labeling of consumables.
• Document manufacturing and quality issues and recommend improvements.
