Job summary

SPX Technologies seeks an electromechanical assembler in Kentucky to assemble and test production for the aviation industry, following CAD drawings and technical instructions with a focus on quality, safety, and on-time delivery. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

You will support engineering with prototype builds, document assemblies, test products, and maintain a clean workspace. Prior assembly experience and SAP familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Prior electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Familiarity with soldering, drilling, AC & DC currents.
  • Ability to read and carefully follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safe work practices and maintain a safety-first culture.
  • Assemble per work orders using technical instructions, CAD drawings, and SOPs.
  • Assist engineering with prototype builds and resolving assembly issues.
  • Discern quality of parts and document assemblies.
  • Test finished products for proper operation.
  • Transfer completed work orders to Quality Control and maintain tools.
  • Maintain calibrated equipment in cooperation with Quality Control.
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.

As part of Detection and Measurement, Sealite is a leading designer and manufacturer of marine aids to navigation (AtoN) equipment. Offering the broadest portfolio of solutions including marine lighting, navigation buoys, marine floats, port entry lighting systems, lighthouse lighting, and monitoring and control systems, we help people transverse the world safely by sea.

This role includes a $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Resbonsible for assembling and testing production for the aviation industry with focus on maintaining the highest quality, safety and on time-delivery of goods to customers .

Duties:

Follow safe work practices and procedures and ensure a “safety first” culture in every task undertaken.

Prepares to complete each assembly work order specifically according to:

technical work instructions and specifications

CAD drawings and other engineering blueprints

standard operations procedure

proper hand and power tools and PPE

Assist engineering with prototype builds.

Assist engineering with resolving assembly complications.

Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.

Document assemblies by completing production and quality forms.

Test finished products for proper operation.

Upon completion of a work order, transfer the product to Quality Control

Maintain the tools used to create products.

Work with Quality Control on maintenance of calibrated equipment.

Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.

Minimum Positions Requirements:

Prior electromechanical assembly experience

Familiarity with:

Soldering

Drilling

AC & DC currents

Ability to read and carefully follow instructions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience in a production environment.

Experience with SAP a plus.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Good computer skills such as use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
