Job summary

Kiefer Sage is seeking a General Assembly Team Member to join our production team. You will assemble products with electric, pneumatic and hand tools, read and follow written instructions, and ensure quality and safety standards.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00–2:30 with occasional overtime and weekend work. A high school diploma or GED and about one year of related experience are preferred, with strong attention to detail and good teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Approximately one year of related assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products using electric, pneumatic, and hand tools.
  • Read, write, and follow instructions; report defects.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to safety rules.
  • Communicate ideas to supervisor for productivity and ergonomics.
  • Be willing to move to other areas/buildings as needed.

Job Description

Job Title: General Assembly Team Member

Reports To: Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Date: 09/24/2025

Summary/Objective

The assembler uses various hand and power tools to assemble the products by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions

  • Assembly and Order Filling. Must be able to assemble more technical assemblies and sub-assemblies with daily use of electric, pneumatic, and advanced hand tools to complete those assemblies.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. And transcribe numbers correctly.
  • Must produce quality products and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Required to maintain the work area and equipment clean and orderly and follow all prescribed safety regulations. Must follow the company 5-S Program.
  • Must be able to communicate with the supervisor with ideas to make their job more productive or ergonomically correct.
  • Must be willing and able to move to other areas/buildings within the company to perform expected job duties.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration from the tools and some noise from the pneumatic tools. Forklift traffic. The heat level is high in the summer months. Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses and gloves are required in some positions. Hearing protection is provided but not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee must walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift, push, pull, and grip. Must pass a physical fitness for duty test that assesses the ability to lift varying weights essential to job function. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 to 2:30. Occasionally, overtime is required, and the employee must be able to work earlier than scheduled, later than scheduled, and on Saturdays.
