DentalEZ Group in Chicago is seeking an assembler to build and inspect components used in our dental product lines. With guidance, you will read blueprints, assemble parts by hand and with hand tools, and verify conformance to specifications.
You will record production data, operate a PC with Excel and Oracle, and adhere to safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
With guidance and supervision, learn to assemble, package, test and inspect various components used in the production of company products. Assemble parts by hand using various small hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, crimpers, etc. and power tools such as air impact guns, battery powered screw drivers, etc. Ensure compliance with specifications reading from blueprints, diagrams, work instructions, sketches, etc. Record information shown on dials, gages, and instruments to ensure quality and integrity of units. Record production time and all necessary information.
Understand your customer's requirements. Meet requirements on time, record/report on performance measures, and all other duties assigned.
Read and follow established assembly procedures, techniques, drawings, operation sheets and travelers.
Assemble product to blueprint specifications within efficiency guidelines established by the company.
Provide feedback on daily progress to supervisor.
Operate, look up and enter data into a computer using Excel and Oracle.
Follow established policies and procedures.
May perform work of other classifications and departments as required.
Prompt regular attendance is required.
Report any possible safety hazards to supervisor.
Report all injuries and/or accidents to supervisor, regardless of the severity.
Follow all safety rules and procedures established by the Company.
Use designated personal protection devices as required (safety glasses, foot protection, etc.).
Complete safety training as required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
More than 3 months experience as an Assembler in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge of routine assembly procedures, techniques, testing and measuring equipment is preferred.
Must be able to read and understand basic blueprints.
Read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Proficiency in using the personal computer, including Windows-based applications.
Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control system preferred.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Must have experience systematizing process flows for improved efficiency.
Person must be resourceful and a self-starter.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Must be conscientious and detail minded.
Must be able to work in fast paced, quick changing atmosphere.
