Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Production Artist for an established print production partner in Maple Grove, Minnesota. This 100% onsite role is part-time, approx. 20 hours per week, with potential temp-to-hire or long-term continuation.

You will prep artwork for digital printing, create dielines and cut paths, preflight files, and set up layouts to maximize sheet usage. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator required and attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare existing artwork and files for digital printing, laser cutting, and other production processes
• Create dielines, crop marks, blade marks, registration marks, guidelines, bleeds, and cut paths
• Preflight artwork and perform basic color corrections to ensure files meet production requirements
• Set up step-and-repeat and nested layouts to maximize sheet usage and production efficiency
• Update, replace, or adjust existing artwork and create production-ready PDFs as needed
• Organize completed files for printing and support an accurate, efficient production workflow

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Production Artist for an established creative production and printing partner. This is a 100% onsite opportunity in Maple Grove, Minnesota, working approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential for temp-to-hire or long-term continuation.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This Production Artist will support digital print production by preparing existing artwork and ensuring files are accurate and production-ready. The role is primarily focused on Adobe Illustrator and includes preflighting files, creating cut paths and production marks, and setting up artwork for efficient printing and finishing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on Illustrator and print production skills who enjoys detail-oriented work and wants to contribute to an efficient, collaborative production environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to create step-and-repeat and nested layouts for efficient sheet utilization
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with repetitive, accuracy-focused production tasks
• Experience with preflight, ganging, nesting, or other production automation software is a plus but not required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers $25–$27 per hour and approximately 20 hours per week. The opportunity will begin on a temporary basis with the potential to transition into a temp-to-hire or longer-term position based on business needs and mutual fit. Additional benefit eligibility may vary based on assignment status and duration.
