Job summary

Avenue Z, Inc. is hiring a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to build production agent systems that support Avenue Z brands and platforms.

You will embed with business teams, identify throughput and margin leaks, and deploy AI agents with evaluation, infrastructure, and analytics that measure impact. You will work with performance media, ecommerce, and analytics teams to ship a production-ready agent within weeks, integrating with TikTok Shop/Ads, Meta, Instagram, Amazon, Shopify, Google and more.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years building and shipping software
• Ability to read, write, and debug Python or TypeScript
• Experience deploying and maintaining real services
• Hands-on experience building LLM agent systems including function and tool calling, RAG, orchestration, prompt and context engineering, and agent evals
• Real experience integrating third-party marketing, ad, or commerce APIs
• Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), containers, CI/CD, and SQL
• Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor
• Understanding of performance marketing including ROAS, CAC, attribution, and affiliate/creator economics
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high agency
• Ability to translate business problems for senior executives into scalable systems

Responsibilities

• Embed with teams to pinpoint throughput or margin gaps and own production agent development
• Ship a working agent within weeks
• Design production-grade agent systems including tool use, planning loops, memory, retrieval, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop gates
• Integrate with revenue platforms and APIs (TikTok Shop/Ads, Meta, Instagram, Amazon, Shopify, Google, Snap)
• Build data pipelines and analytics infrastructure linking creator content, ad spend, and GMV
• Create an evaluation harness to measure correctness before production
• Own APIs, queues, authentication, observability, error handling, rate limits, and cost controls
• Instrument systems to tie outcomes to hours returned, cycle time cut, spend efficiency, GMV/revenue
• Document work, drive adoption, and iterate post-launch
• Own end-to-end discovery through production support
