Job summary

Ogletree Deakins seeks an AI Architect to design, build, and deploy production AI applications, agents, and workflows for OD Labs. You’ll translate client needs into secure, maintainable solutions aligned with security and data standards, reporting to the Director of OD Labs.

You will collaborate with project managers and business analysts to define usability, data requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria, while aligning with practice groups and firm operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
• Six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying AI-powered systems in production.
• Experience writing production-quality code in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience connecting enterprise systems through APIs or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain AI applications, agents, and workflows.
• Select models, platforms, and tools based on project requirements.
• Create integrations between AI tools and firm data sources using APIs and MCP.
• Implement security controls and access practices protecting client and firm information.
• Define user needs, workflows, data requirements, and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Establish standards for prompts, context, tool use, and evaluation.
• Monitor usage, cost, and adoption; troubleshoot production issues.
• Maintain documentation for maintenance and knowledge transfer.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend enhancements.
