Job summary

Chalk is seeking a Forward Deployed Strategist to guide the technical direction of Chalk’s integrations across customer environments. You’ll collaborate with sales, delivery, and support to design architectures, perform technical discovery, and ensure production-ready agented solutions within customers’ clouds.

The role requires deep production infrastructure experience, the ability to defend architectural choices, and strong communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Deep production infrastructure experience and understanding of live traffic failure modes.
• Ability to advise on complex systems and defend architectural choices under constraints.
• Proven ability to scope and lead POCs that prove value.

Responsibilities

• Run technical discovery to understand customer systems and failures.
• Advise on architecture and migration paths; identify what to ship and what to deprioritize.
• Design customer solutions on Chalk, setting metrics for correctness, latency, and cost.
• Define agentic capabilities and safety bounds for deployments in customer clouds.
• Plan and execute tight POCs with clear success criteria and scope control.
• Answer engineers' questions and partner with sales for account decisions.
• Identify next work items and assess fit for Chalk products.
