Job summary

LangChain, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, production-focused engineer to work at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market.

You will build and deploy AI agents in production, collaborating with customer engineers to turn ideas into reliable systems and drive the technical win in pre-sales. You will partner closely with customers across pre- and post-sale phases, deliver demos and workshops, and contribute to scalable patterns and code.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical role with startups or scale-ups.
• Strong Python and JavaScript skills with systems fundamentals.
• Experience designing agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond API calls.
• Comfortable working directly with customers during POCs and reviews.
• Able to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to developers.
• Focus on outcomes and owning project success.
• Bias toward action and hands-on problem solving.
• Experience operating AI agents in production.

Responsibilities

• Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams.
• Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs and guiding evaluations.
• Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications and multi-step workflows.
• Advise customers post-sale on architecture and best practices.
• Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences.
• Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns and example code.
• Occasionally contribute code upstream when it improves outcomes.
• This role requires 40% travel to customer sites to support deployment.
