Job summary

LangChain is seeking a hands-on Sales Engineer to work with customers on production AI agents, from pre-sales through deployment. You will co-design architectures, run POCs, and guide evaluations to win technical outcomes.

This role emphasizes collaboration with customer engineers across the lifecycle, delivering demos, trainings, and pragmatic patterns to scale adoption of LangChain tools in production environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering).
• Strong Python, JavaScript and systems fundamentals.
• Experience designing agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls.
• Comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams.
• Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs and guiding evaluations.
• Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications including multi-step workflows.
• Advise customers post-sale on architecture, best practices, and roadmap decisions.
• Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences.
• Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns and code.
• Occasionally contribute upstream code when it improves customer outcomes.
