Job summary

Bachoco USA is seeking a Production Accountant for its Fort Smith, AR facility. The role supports the Cost Accounting Department with daily production transactions, inventory reporting, and KPI delivery to plant and company management.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, strong Excel/SAP skills, and the ability to work with ERP systems and SOX controls. Travel to plant locations and close collaboration with operations are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business related major or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems and SAP.
• Ability to analyze inventories, prepare reports, and support SOX compliance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with management.

Responsibilities

• Operate Windows-based programs; proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; adapt to in-house ERP system and SAP.
• Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly and quarterly operating reports and statistics.
• Assist with weekly financial presentations to upper management based on prior results.
• Travel to plant locations to explain reports and ensure accountability.
• Track volumes, statistics, and dollars weekly, monthly and year-to-date.
• Analyze variances and assist with balance sheet management of inventory quantities and valuation.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of assigned plants and report production transactions.
• Provide analytical research on Agri Stats comparisons and monthly data submissions.
