Job summary

Varian Medical Systems, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Product Verification Engineer to ensure quality, reliability and safety of next-generation radiotherapy systems through software and hardware verification testing.

You will develop and execute automated/manual test plans, perform UI automation with Python, and install hardware/software test environments while collaborating with global teams. 5+ years in CS or MS with relevant experience preferred; SDLC and FDA/regulatory exposure valued.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience, or MS with 3+ years.
• Strong Python programming and .NET experience.
• Solid Object-Oriented Programming knowledge.
• Experience with software testing methodologies and automation.
• Understanding of SDLC and defect tracking tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Medical device testing experience preferred.
• Azure DevOps/TFS experience is a plus.
• Preferred Experience Clinical radiation oncology experience.
• Knowledge of Varian treatment planning, information, or delivery systems.
• Audit and regulatory experience, including FDA 510(k) support.

Salary

The base pay range for this position is: $139,180 - $191,378 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
