Job description

Come work for one of the largest equipment dealerships in North America!

Our Construction Equipment Group is seeking a full-time Product Support Sales Representative reporting to our Harrisburg, PA location. The territory will cover Lebanon, Dauphin, Lancaster, York, Adams, Cumberland, Perry, and Juniata counties. The primary role of this position is to provide OEM and aftermarket parts and service sales throughout the assigned territory. The responsibilities include:

  1. Sales of OEM parts
  2. Sales of aftermarket parts
  3. Make cold calls to equipment owners in the territory
  4. Work within the territory to grow sales
  5. Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
  6. Perform other duties as assigned

Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong negotiation, sales, and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and automobile insurance
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, accounting software, and technical equipment software
  • Intermediate language skills: ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical documents and reports
  • Intermediate mathematical skills: ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, percentages, and basic algebra and geometry
  • High reasoning ability: capable of solving practical problems and interpreting varied instructions

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Regular sitting; frequent standing, walking, climbing; occasional use of hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling
  • No special vision requirements
  • Regularly lift up to 25 pounds; frequently lift 26-50 pounds
  • Work near moving mechanical parts; exposure to fumes, airborne particles, humid conditions, high places, outdoor weather, and chemicals
