The primary purpose of this position is to safely operate heavy equipment in support of machine and software validation activities at the Clayton Machine Development Center (CMDC). The operator will perform a variety of machine applications, identify and report performance issues, document daily machine activity, and provide feedback to engineering teams on machine operation and functionality.
Equipment operated may include Backhoe Loaders (BHL), Mini Hydraulic Excavators (MHE), Small Track Type Tractors (STTT), Small Wheel Loaders (SWL), and Work Tools (WT) products. Typical applications include excavation, grading, dozing, truck loading simulation, material handling, and lifting operations.
As experience and product knowledge are developed, the operator will assist in evaluating machine and tool performance and communicate observations through verbal discussions and written reports.
