Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is seeking a Machine Loader to support fabrication activities including loading robots and machining centers, and keeping the area clean.

You will follow documented procedures and assist machinists or welders, with shifts across 1st-3rd and potential overtime. Starting pay is $20.20/hour plus 8% shift premium on some shifts, with a comprehensive benefits package from day one.

• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Experience in fabrication/manufacturing environment a plus.

Caterpillar is looking for candidates that want to build a career. Position includes a starting wage of $20.20/hour (+ 8% Shift Premium for 2nd & 3rd Shifts), quarterly goal sharing program and a comprehensive benefit program that begins on Day 1.

Shift Schedule:

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6:15 am - 2:15 pm

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 2:15 pm - 10:15 pm

3rd Shift: Sunday night-Friday morning 10:15 pm - 6:15 am

Overtime as business needs require.

Starting pay rates:

1st Shift: $20.20/hour

2nd & 3rd Shifts: $21.82/hour (includes 8% shift premium)

This position provides fabrications support activities including loading robots and/or machining centers as well as ensuring cleanliness of the area.

As a Machine Loader at Caterpillar, you will:

• Load/unload and position heavy fabrication metal components in holding fixtures using lifting devices

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with Overhead Hoists OR Overhead Cranes

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods

• Willing and able to perform repetitive operation

• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Top candidates will also have:

• Material handling experience

• Manufacturing experience

• Machining experience or exposure

• Welding experience or exposure
