Caterpillar's Clayton Machine Development Center in Clayton, NC seeks a heavy equipment operator to support endurance and validation testing. You will safely operate Backhoe Loaders, Mini Hydraulic Excavators, and other machines, record usage, and communicate issues to engineering.

The role requires at least 1 year of operating experience, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently. Shift is 2nd, hours 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, with a starting pay of $21.07/hour and a comprehensive

Join us.**Job Description:**The primary purpose of this position is to safely operate heavy equipment in support of machine and software validation activities at the Clayton Machine Development Center (CMDC). The operator will perform a variety of machine applications, identify and report performance issues, document daily machine activity, and provide feedback to engineering teams on machine operation and functionality.Equipment operated may include Backhoe Loaders (BHL), Mini Hydraulic Excavators (MHE), Small Track Type Tractors (STTT), Small Wheel Loaders (SWL), and Work Tools (WT) products.
