Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Product Support Engineering intern to join the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program. The role involves system engineering and integration tasks for Product Support IPTs, collaborating with Design Engineering and IPT support.

The candidate will read engineering drawings and parts lists, participate in trade studies, and support sustainment requirements while gaining hands-on experience in a nationally renowned aerospace company.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduate after August 2027.
• Majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, quantify and influence logistics requirements to support the weapon system including spares, Support Equipment, technical data, training, facilities, and personnel
• Interface with vehicle engineering to influence designs for supportability
• Initiate and perform trade studies
• Perform detailed maintenance task analysis
• Determine overall weapon support system requirements for sustainment
