Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Product Support Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, FL or El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on ensuring design for supportability and coordinating hardware/software development, verification, and validation activities.

The engineer will oversee supportability engineering, run trade studies, and analyze design alternatives to balance mission requirements. A DoD clearance is often required, with relocation assistance possibly available.

Qualifications

Bachelor or advanced degrees in STEM with related experience as stated.
Experience in RF/electrical and/or avionics systems engineering.
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government clearance as required.

Responsibilities

Identify, analyze, and influence logistics requirements for weapon system support.
Interface with vehicle engineering to influence supportability designs.
Initiate and perform trade studies; conduct maintenance task analysis.
Determine overall weapon support system requirements and data needs.
Support radar systems fault isolation, integration, and upgrades.
