Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Systems Engineering to establish and lead a new group supporting the Tactical Data Link (TDL) product portfolio in Carlsbad, CA.

The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic leadership to drive product strategy, lifecycle planning, and customer-facing sustainment engineering. The position requires managing a team of 8–15 engineers, guiding technical roadmaps, and ensuring staffing and resources align with program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9 years prior systems engineering experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior systems engineering experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related systems engineering experience.
• Active US Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on technical work ~75% of the time and lead a team of ~8–15 engineers ~25% of the time.
• Develop and maintain long-term product roadmaps aligning with customer needs and sustainment requirements.
• Translate customer feedback into prioritized technical requirements and lifecycle initiatives.
