Job summary

PlanMember Financial Corporation is seeking a Product Development Associate to support its product platform across research, implementation, maintenance and marketing collateral. The role collaborates across departments and serves as a resource on product-related matters at the Carpinteria, CA headquarters.

The position offers a starting salary between $65,000 and $80,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, profit sharing, PTO and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in any major.
• Two years of preferred experience in financial services and/or retirement planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with web-based tools.
• Ability to write SQL queries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-departmentally to develop and maintain product collateral and materials.
• Maintain master product files for all platform products.
• Perform due diligence analysis of investment managers for sub-advised products.
• Assist with quarterly plan reporting and product maintenance processes.
• Develop training materials and disseminate product knowledge throughout the company.
• Assist with oversight of advisor software tools including issue resolution and testing of new features.
• Interface with product vendor partners.
• Perform competitor research.
• Analyze product returns, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Assist with planning, organizing and coordinating various departmental projects.
• Prepare project plans and track progress.
• Maintain all project-related documentation.
• Produce agendas and minutes for Retail Platform and Strategic Development meetings.
• Assist with corporate calendar maintenance.
• Assist with administration of SmartSheet.
