Product Marketing Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy in assigned area to meet business objectives. Each day, you will implement marketing activities and support Sales organization in driving sales and services for respective products. You will also showcase your expertise by driving sales efficiency by providing appropriate product knowledge information and training.

The work model for the role is: Remote, #LI-Remote. This role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division located in the west coast. Main stakeholders are power utilities & OEM. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Review and evaluate project specifications and end-user customer requirements to provide electrical solutions including one-line electrical diagrams, schematic diagrams, lay-out & equipment drawings, equipment specifications, and project budget pricing for medium voltage Grid applications.
2. Support the customer during the homologation process and pilot projects.
3. Be the local product expert in products and applications such as Intelligent Electronic Devices (EID), Protection Relays, Centralized Protection & Software, and other Digital Substation Products.
4. Participate in and develop papers for IEEE and other industry events/conferences to raise awareness of ABB solutions as a thought leader.

Qualifications for the role

• Master's degree in Engineering with 4 years of experience or Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in the Electrical Distribution industry.
• Fluent in English, speaking and writing.
• Ability to establish and nurture partnership relationships with the regional engineering consulting community.
• PE (Professional Engineer) certification is a plus.
• Previous field, plant, or design engineering experience in electrical power systems at major oil and gas companies, electric utilities, or industrial facilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 percent of the time and ability to visit customers in the local area regularly.
• Willing to sponsor applicants.
