Job summary

Rapid7, a security software company, seeks a Product Security Consultant to assist post-sales customers in deploying and deriving value from Rapid7 products. You will deploy products across diverse environments, document decisions, and ensure security outcomes.

You will build and customize solutions with Python, SQL, and REST APIs, collaborate with sales on engagements, and contribute to delivery collateral and processes while traveling occasionally for client engagements.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience with security technologies (SIEM, vulnerability mgmt, IAM, GRC, or endpoint protection).
• Strong Python skills; build documented scripts interacting with REST APIs, Postgres, and data pipelines.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, including complex JOINs and subqueries.
• Solid understanding of DHCP, IP, DNS, and HTTP/S network protocols.
• Deploy workloads across AWS, Azure, or GCP with configuration and policy management.
• Administrator-level experience with Windows Server or Linux.
• Communicate complex technical decisions clearly to diverse audiences.
• Take accountability for delivering implementation outcomes and value for customer security.
• Navigate change and ambiguity across customer environments to solve complex challenges.
• Familiarity with InsightVM data model, ticketing systems, CI/CD, password vaults, or consulting experience.
• Embodies core values to drive excellence and impact.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Rapid7 products across diverse environments using security best practices and document decisions.
• Build and customize solutions using Python, SQL, and REST APIs, including dashboards and data pipelines.
• Partner with sales to scope engagements and provide technical input during pre-sales.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and improve delivery collateral, tooling, and processes.
• Resolve deployment challenges by balancing stakeholder perspectives to keep momentum.
• Travel occasionally for select customer engagements.
