Job summary

Boeing seeks candidates for a contract engineering role supporting the E7 aircraft program. Selected individuals will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved third party for the project duration.

Responsibilities include MRB/disposition for design non-conformances, root‑cause analysis, developing interim and final engineering solutions, and IPT support. Candidates should have 5+ years of MRB experience and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering dispositions for the E7 aircraft in BDS production line.
• Design structural repairs and conduct static strength analysis.
• Apply Boeing design principles to resolve product/process issues through the lifecycle.
• Analyze root‑cause issues and develop dispositions for design non‑conformances.
• Research technical, operational and quality issues and design interim/final solutions.
• Communicate proactively with QA, Manufacturing, Design and management personnel.
• Identify documents, analyze reported problems and communicate deviations; manage resolution.
• Develop and implement product/process improvements.
• Represent the engineering community in the build through post‑production.
• Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.
• Analyze damage repair or structural modification to determine safe jacking/shoring.
• Develop non‑destructive test procedures, tools and standards.
• Develop troubleshooting approaches for electrical, communications, and mission systems faults.
• Represent the engineering community in the build through post‑production.
• Support the Integrated Product Team as the on‑site Engineering Representative.
• Must have strong communication skills.

THIS POSTING IS FOR A CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT AND IS NOT A FULL‑TIME EMPLOYMENT OFFER WITH BOEING. CANDIDATES SELECTED FOR ROLES WILL BE EMPLOYED AS CONTRACT WORKERS THROUGH A BOEING APPROVED THIRD PARTY FOR THE DURATION OF THE SPECIFIED PROJECT.

APPLY KNOWLEDGE OF BOEING DESIGN PRINCIPLES TO ASSESS AND RESOLVE PRODUCT/PROCESS ISSUES THROUGH THE PRODUCT LIFECYCLE. ANALYZE, CONDUCT ROOT‑CAUSE ANALYSIS AND DEVELOP DISPOSITIONS FOR DESIGN NON‑CONFORMANCES. APPLY ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES TO RESEARCH TECHNICAL, OPERATIONAL AND QUALITY ISSUES THAT CANNOT BE RESOLVED BY THE CUSTOMER AND DESIGN INTERIM AND FINAL ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS. ENSURE SUPPLIER AND BUILD PARTNER COMPLIANCE WITH BOEING STANDARDS. DEVELOP CUSTOMER CORRESPONDENCE FOR CONTINUED SAFE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT. PARTICIPATE IN ON‑SITE DISABLED PRODUCT REPAIR TEAMS AND ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION OR SUPPORT TEAM. ANALYZE DAMAGE REPAIR OR STRUCTURAL MODIFICATION TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATE JACKING AND SHORING, PREVENT COLLATERAL DAMAGE AND ASSURE A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT. DESIGN INTERIM STRUCTURAL REPAIRS AND CONDUCT SIMPLE STATIC STRENGTH ANALYSIS. DEVELOP NON‑DESTRUCTIVE TEST PROCEDURES, TOOLS AND STANDARDS. CONDUCT SIMPLE STATIC STRENGTH ANALYSIS.

• Research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer and design interim and final engineering solutions.
• Communicate proactively with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Design, and management personnel.
• Identify documents, analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommend and manage resolution.
• Develop and implement product/process improvements.
• Represent the engineering community in the build through post‑production environment.
• Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.
• Analyze damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment.
• Develop non‑destructive test procedures, tools and standards.
• Develop effective troubleshooting approaches for electrical, communications, and mission systems faults.

Pay Rate Range

Min Pay Rate $66 per hour.

Max Pay Rate $71 per hour.
