Job summary

Smithsgroup2 seeks aMechanical Engineer to design and develop products and families for residential and commercial construction. You will organize stage-gate projects and lead new product development with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BSME and at least 2 years of related experience, plus strong Solidworks skills, prototyping, and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Kaizen/Lean experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years in-tern, co-op or on-the-job experience.
• Proven ability as a self-starter and leader.
• Strong communication and teamwork across functions.
• Experience with Solidworks and simulations.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials science.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops products and product families.
• Organizes and leads stage-gate projects for new product development.
