Job summary

International Dairy Queen, Inc. in Bloomington, MN seeks a Product Category Lead - Food Safety and Quality to supervise FSQR programs, ensure vendor conformance, and maintain product safety and quality for all DQ products.

You will collaborate with product development and suppliers to set specs, review docs, monitor QC data, and drive continuous improvement in food safety processes, HACCP and regulatory compliance across multiple franchises and markets.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in food science, animal science or closely related field.
• 5 years of experience in quality management and food safety.
• Experience with beef, seafood, chicken, and/or pork products preferred.
• Regulatory experience preferred.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-changing environment.
• Strong communication and vendor relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food safety, quality and regulatory aspects of DQ products including vendor qualification and compliance.
• Establish specifications with product development and vendors; review documents and QC data.
• Complete shelf-life extensions and maintain HACCP flow charts with Operations.
• Manage vendor quality issues and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Identify trends, apply technical knowledge, and educate others across functions.
• Partner with Product Development during development and test phases; support core products.
