Based in the Bloomington, MN area, the position emphasizes collaboration with franchisees, continuous improvement, and strong leadership to uphold safety and quality across multiple product categories.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in food science, animal science or closely related field.
• 5 years of experience in quality management and food safety.
• Experience with beef, seafood, chicken, and/or pork preferred.
• Regulatory experience preferred.
• Ability to lead teams and manage progress in ambiguous situations.
• Coaching and feedback skills for vendors or internal personnel.
• Project management to lead a small team from objective to solution.
• Ability to prioritize multiple complex projects in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to influence across diverse functions to gain support.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, packaging, purchasing, distribution and logistics.
• Knowledge of HACCP/HARPC, FDA, USDA, GMP and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the food safety, quality and regulatory aspects of DQ products.
• Establish quality and food safety specifications with product development and vendor teams.
• Review specification documents, create product evaluations and monitor QC data.
• Complete shelf-life extensions.
• Create and maintain HACCP flow charts and restaurant safety procedures.
• Monitor vendor quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Identify trends and implement supplier quality improvements.
• Educate other teams and collaborate with supply chain and operations.
• Support FSQR/Product Development collaboration and updates.
