Job summary

IKEA in Draper, UT is seeking a Product Recovery Associate to minimize waste and maximize reuse of products. This part-time, permanent role will support sustainability initiatives while delivering value to customers in-store.

You will repackage and reassemble items, present As-Is products with strong pricing, and collaborate with store teams to ensure quality and customer satisfaction in a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience required.
• Knowledge of waste management and sustainability principles.
• Experience in a customer- and commercial-oriented business.
• Ability to build and understand IKEA furniture quality and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to minimizing internal damages or costs related to IKEA products.
• Repackage and reassemble products to give them a second life.
• Present As-Is products with a strong commercial expression and attractive pricing.
• Support the quality work in the store to improve customers' perception of IKEA products.

As a Product Recovery Associate, contributing to the recovery and sustainability work in the store, you will:

• Contribute to minimizing all internal damages or other costs related to IKEA products.
• Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, such as repackaging and assembly.
• Present IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store.
• Support the quality work in the store in order to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products.
• Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products.
• Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

JOB TYPE – Permanent

HOURS - 12-20 hours per week /Limited Benefits Eligible

SHIFTS – Fully open work schedule availability including evenings and weekends required; Work schedules are published one month in advance

The pay range for this role is $17.58-$24.83/hour

The anticipated posting closing date is on or around 9/21/26
