Job summary

Dairy Challenge in Saint George, UT seeks a versatile Material Handler to load, unload, and move products within the plant and yard. Some Saturday work is required, with duties spanning receipt, storage, and order fulfillment, plus accurate record keeping using company systems.

You will maintain product rotation, support maintenance tasks, and document production and quality logs. Emphasis on safety, SOP adherence, teamwork, and clear written and verbal communication is essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform a combination of receiving, storing, and distributing tasks to assist in product distribution.
• Pull and stack product based on daily orders.
• Meet specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain keeping products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
• Support preventative maintenance plans.
• Monitor product quality and report problems to mitigate safety issues.
• Complete production and quality logs.
• Furnish accurate counts on load tags.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out clearly and accurately with required information.
• Document information in accordance with SOPs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Report any food safety and quality issues to management.
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Job description

Perform a variety of duties in loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.

There will be some Saturday work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform any combination of receiving, storing, and distributing tasks to assist in the distribution of product
• Pull and stack product based on daily orders
• Meet specifics of customer orders in a timely manner
• Maintain keeping products separated, organized, and in good rotation
• Support preventative maintenance plans
• Monitor product quality frequently and report problems to mitigate safety issues
• Complete production and quality logs
• Furnish accurate counts on load tags
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
