Job summary

Dairy-Farmers-of-America,-Inc. in Texas is seeking a dependable Warehouse team member to support shipping and receiving operations as a final checkpoint ensuring on-time, accurate deliveries.

You will load and unload trailers, stage materials, manage pallets, and maintain accurate paperwork while following SOPs and GMP guidelines in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and basic math are preferred; strong teamwork and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to write entries legibly for records.
  • Able to use company computer systems.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced setting.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to follow directions and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Must read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the loading and unloading of products in trailers
  • Distribute pallets of product from the palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas
  • Stage materials for production
  • Move product and materials within facility (plant and/or cooler)
  • Receive materials for warehouse storage
  • Supply packaging material, cartons, and hulls to line as needed
  • Maintain pallet supply for palletizer
  • Rotate packaging and ingredients using FIFO
  • Ensure all paperwork is filed clearly and accurately
  • Document information in accordance with SOPs
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Report any food safety and quality issues to management

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute the loading and unloading of products in trailers
  • Distribute pallets of product from the palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas
  • Stage materials for product ion
  • Move product and materials within facility (plant and/or cooler)
  • Receive materials for warehouse storage
  • Supply packaging material, cartons, and hulls to line as needed
  • Maintain pallet supply for palletizer
  • Rotate packaging and ingredients using FIFO (First In – First Out)
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information
  • En sure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safet y, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to use company computer systems
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to follow directions
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
Pay Range

15.00-22.82
