Brex in New York is recruiting a Product & Privacy Counsel to guide privacy strategy across Brex products and partnerships. You will scale the privacy program, monitor regulatory developments, and advise cross-functional teams on privacy-by-design and compliance with global standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and regulatory partners to implement processes, negotiate data-related contracts, and manage outside counsel with a focus on privacy and financial regulation risk.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years working experience in a combination of law firm, technology and fintech companies with privacy/regulatory focus.
• Deep understanding of CCPA, GDPR, and financial regulatory regulations.
• Exceptional judgment and integrity, ability to handle complex matters independently, and product-minded approach to lawyering.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work across various modes of communication.
• Capacity to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and time-sensitive projects.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with Bar admission in at least one U.S. state.

Aufgaben

• Scale Data Privacy and Security Programs: Expand data security, access, and privacy programs with engineering and business teams.
• Implement Global Privacy Compliance: Develop processes for GDPR, CCPA compliance with monitoring/testing frameworks.
• Negotiate Data-Related Contracts: Draft and negotiate external agreements focusing on data protection and data product terms.
• Provide Product and Regulatory Advice: Offer regulatory/compliance guidance across products from design to go-to-market.
• Represent Brex externally: Act as Brex's representative with partners and regulators.
• Integrate Innovation & Compliance: Identify opportunities while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage Outside Counsel: Oversee external counsel for regulatory and privacy matters.
