Job summary

Brex is seeking a Product and Privacy Counsel to lead the privacy program and help Brex grow responsibly at the intersection of fintech and technology. You will scale privacy, monitor regulatory developments, and provide strategic guidance to protect and advance Brex's business objectives.

You will advise on GDPR/CCPA compliance, negotiate data-related contracts, and collaborate with engineering, product, and external counsel to enable compliant, innovative product delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in law firms, tech or fintech focusing on privacy and financial regulation.
• Deep understanding of CCPA, GDPR, and financial regulatory regulations.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bar admission in at least one U.S. state.

Responsibilities

• Scale Data Privacy and Security Programs with engineering and business teams.
• Develop processes for strict adherence to GDPR/CCPA with monitoring and testing.
• Draft and negotiate external data-related contracts protecting Brex's interests.
• Provide regulatory and compliance guidance for all Brex products.
• Represent Brex with financial partners and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate across compliance, engineering and business teams to identify compliant innovation.
• Manage outside counsel for regulatory, privacy and data matters.
