Job summary

GRVTY is seeking an experienced Product Owner to maximize value from software by translating operational needs into clear, actionable work for the dev team. You will own the backlog, prioritize work by impact, and collaborate with SETA, Operator communities, UX to deliver mission-aligned solutions.

Responsibilities include backlog grooming, sprint planning, capacity allocation, and ensuring compliance with system requirements.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Technical proficiency with software development processes and tools (e.g. Agile methodologies, GitLab, Command Prompt).
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
• Experience maintaining sprints with software development tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with IPT Software Lead, Architect, Dev Scrum Team, Systems Eng Team, Integration & Test Team, Scrum Masters, and other Product Owners to plan work.
• Translate business needs into practical technology solutions to improve efficiency or user experience.
• Deliver and manage scalable, reliable solutions in complex environments.
• Assess existing solutions, identify limitations, and implement improvements.
• Track lessons learned for future planning and retrospectives.
• Monitor sprint metrics (capacity, velocity, burndown) and inform PMR packages.
• Analyze Operator feedback to refine backlog and roadmap decisions.
• Prioritize bugs and requests from operators in the backlog.
• Translate Operator needs into workable sprint items for the Dev team.
• Ensure features have clear acceptance criteria meeting mission objectives.
• Present at ERB and Increment Planning Sessions; provide updates at CCB.
• Create end-of-increment and release planning artifacts.
