Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Product Management, or Agile delivery.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong backlog management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear priorities for delivery teams.
• Experience collaborating with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain ServiceNow backlogs and prioritize features, enhancements, defects, and technical debt based on business value.
• Partner with business stakeholders, process owners, and platform teams to understand needs and backlog refinements.
• Support sprint planning, sprint reviews, and release planning with clear requirements.
• Review and accept completed work to ensure alignment with business expectations.
• Translate strategic roadmap objectives into actionable work, identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate with Product Management, Business Analysts, architects, Scrum Masters, developers, and testers to align priorities with platform standards.
• Establish product ownership processes, prioritization frameworks, operating procedures, and governance while supporting knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading energy provider, is seeking a Product Owner II – ServiceNow Platform to join their team. The Product Owner will maximize business value across ServiceNow product areas by managing backlogs, aligning stakeholders, and supporting Agile delivery. This role will also help establish repeatable product ownership practices, strengthen governance, and transfer knowledge to internal teams.

Contract Details

Contract Type: Contract only. Contract Duration: November 23, 2026–November 19, 2027. Location: Denver, CO. Work Model: Hybrid.

Core Responsibilities

• Own and maintain ServiceNow product backlogs, prioritizing features, enhancements, defects, and technical debt based on business value.
• Partner with business stakeholders, process owners, and platform teams to understand needs and facilitate workshops, requirements discussions, and backlog refinement.
• Support sprint planning, sprint reviews, and release planning, clarifying requirements and making day-to-day prioritization and trade-off decisions.
• Review and accept completed work to ensure alignment with business expectations.
• Translate strategic roadmap objectives into actionable work, identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities across product areas.

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience working with the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience with Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Software Asset Management (SAM), or Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
• Experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) or IT Service Management (ITSM).
• Experience with Business Continuity Management (BCM), Security Operations (SecOps), or Integrated Risk Management (IRM).
• Experience with HR Service Delivery (HRSD), employee experience solutions, or portals.
• CSPO, SAFe POPM, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting digital transformation or platform modernization initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $45.00 and $65.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
