Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Owner for an agile Modeling and Simulation program in Huntsville, AL. You will oversee technical, cost, and schedule performance for the team, planning milestones, and coordinating efforts across engineers including radar and missile domains.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, strong C/C++ development skills, Unix/Linux experience, and proven leadership. Onsite work in Huntsville with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing systems and applications in an OO language, especially C++.
• Experience on Unix/Linux environments and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience leading or managing a team.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototyping, software development, integration, test and analysis of new or enhanced system capabilities.
• Support SDLC phases: requirements, design, development, test, maintenance (C/C++).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance in complex environments.
• Write and maintain documentation for software applications including architecture and design specs.
• Participate in product reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards and practices.
• Build the team’s abilities, provide technical direction, and collaborate with internal/external customers.
• Support proposals and have knowledge of project financial status and planning.
