Job summary

Ripple Logics seeks a Product Owner / Business Analyst for a Healthcare Insurance / Insure-Tech client. You will collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to define and refine epics based on business vision, and translate them into features.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in business analysis and product owner roles, deep knowledge of Scrum and Agile, strong communication, and the ability to prioritize in a distributed team; insurance industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis and product owner roles.
• In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology.
• Ability to prioritize effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience in insurance industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine epics with leadership based on business vision.
• Refine epics into features with stakeholders.
• Define priority and acceptance criteria for stories.
• Manage emergent requirements and minimize impact on milestones.
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Test features before production rollout.
• Communicate release schedules to stakeholders.
• Facilitate scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retro, review).
• Capture team performance metrics and set improvement goals.
• Estimate delivery based on historic performance.
• Coach on aligning with dual-track agile.
• Escalate blockers for timely resolution.
• Iterate based on feedback from leaders, stakeholders, and the scrum team.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Work with stakeholders to refine epics into different features.
• Help to define and refine priority and acceptance criteria of stories making up features.
• Manage emergent requirements so they are prioritized appropriately and impact upcoming milestones as little as possible.
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria
• Test the features before production rollout
• Communicate release schedule to stakeholders based on capacity, effort, and agreed-upon priority.
• Facilitate scrum meetings such as daily scrum, sprint planning, retro & sprint review.
• Capture team performance metrics and work with them on setting goals to improve.
• Estimate delivery based on historic performance.
• Coach where there are opportunities to better align with dual-track agile framework.
• Escalate blockers and impediments for a timely resolution.
• Iterate based on feedback from leaders, stakeholders, and members of the scrum team.
