We are currently seeking a Product Owner, AI Center of Excellence (COE) to join our Digital & Technology team in Richmond, VA, or we are open to a remote work arrangement.
What you will be doing:
- Product Ownership:
- Serving as an AI COE Product Owner, driving the vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Collaborating with business owners and cross functional partners to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all decisions related to owned AI Product area(s), balancing technical feasibility with business value.
- Strategic Development and Execution:
- Developing and maintaining a product roadmap, ensuring alignment with user needs and enterprise strategy
- Leading the planning and execution of AI projects within the AI COE
- Defining and prioritizing product features based on business impact.
- Overseeing AI model lifecycle, from development to deployment and monitoring
- Providing regular updates to partners on project progress, challenges, and successes.
- Continuously monitoring and analyzing product performance, using data-driven insights to drive improvements and optimize user experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborating with partners to understand current and future business needs related to generative AI using design thinking methodologies to develop proof of concepts.
- Acting as a liaison between business owners and developers, ensuring mutual understanding of goals and requirements.
- Facilitating workshops, meetings, and discussions to align priorities and resolve conflicts.
- Translating technical concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical partners.
- Developing strategic partnerships, relationships, and alliances
We want you to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years' experience OR Master's Degree and 6+ years' experience in digital transformations, AI or design thinking are required.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, preferably in the AI or technology industry is essential.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to understand and synthesize technical concepts into actionable business requirements.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong sense of curiosity and passion for learning, as well as the ability to work independently in an evolving and changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively across functions, with strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Knowledge and experience of innovation approaches, activities (i.e. hackathon challenges) and experimental processes.
- Regulatory Compliance Knowledge and International Experience is a plus.
- Ability to balance enthusiasm and realism when communicating new ideas.
The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $116,200.00 - $168,400.00.
