Job summary

SchoolTool, based in the United States, is seeking a Product Owner to drive data platform strategy and analytics capabilities for PK-12 education. You will translate strategy into actionable plans, work with customers to define epics, and partner with engineering and UX to deliver features.

You will advocate for users, define success criteria, and collaborate across documentation, training, support, and marketing to release new capabilities while exploring AI-enabled optimizations.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication with internal tech teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills across multiple projects.
• Ability to define data quality, timeliness and accuracy as product requirements.
• Ability to measure success for analytics features including adoption and impact.
• Experience understanding customer data and reporting needs at outcome level.
• CSPO certification or equivalent experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate company vision into actionable product plans with the Product Director.
• Partner with customers to identify needs and document epics with requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Engineering and UX to break epics into features and stories.
• Serve as the customer advocate throughout development.
• Coordinate with documentation, training, support, and marketing for releases.
• Represent SchoolTool at user groups and conferences to gather feedback.
