Job description

Our client is seeking a Product Owner for an excellent contract/consulting-based (Corp-to-Corp or 1099) remote position located anywhere in the U.S. (ideally East or Central time zone). This project could extend up to 2 years in length or be converted to a full-time role with the client, depending on business needs. Responsibilities include:

• Driving the development and enhancement of commercial property and casualty insurance products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
• Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap and tailor technology products to underwriting and claims
• Partner with IT and data teams to integrate advanced analytics and automation into product workflows.
• Deliver usable tools via agile product teams
• Act as a conduit between technical teams and business needs

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on commercial property and casualty insurance, underwriting and claims.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environment.
• Strong understanding of underwriting, risk management, and regulatory requirements in commercial insurance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.
• Scrum or Agile experience, proficiency in agile tools preferred (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and data-driven decision-making.
• Analytical mindset with experience leveraging data analytics for product development.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
