Job summary

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is seeking a Product Owner to maximize product value within an Agile team. You will define and prioritize the backlog, translate requirements into features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

You will participate in Agile ceremonies, manage scope and priorities, and monitor product performance for continuous improvement. ARRT offers health insurance, 401k contributions, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or business management, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar professional experience in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain a well-prioritized product backlog based on business goals, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Translate product strategy and customer requirements into clearly defined product features with breakdowns into actionable epics to guide development and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure a shared understanding of product features and priorities.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospectives and Stand-ups.
  • Make real time decisions regarding scope, priorities, and trade-offs to keep development efforts aligned with business goals.
  • Act as primary liaison between stakeholders and Scrum team, ensuring continuous alignment.
  • Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement through iterative releases.
  • Ensure product backlog is visible, transparent, and clearly understood by all team members.
  • Own the delivery of product features from concept to release.
  • Support organizational priorities through active participation in ARRT Projects as assigned.
  • Proactively manage and deliver assigned ARRT project work.

The Product Owner serves as the voice of the customer within an Agile team, responsible for maximizing the value of the product by clearly defining and prioritizing features. Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, the Product Owner manages the product backlog, ensures alignment with organizational goals, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact, customer-focused solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of user needs, market dynamics and Agile product development.

Duties and Responsibilities
Product Owner
  • Define and maintain a well-prioritized product backlog based on business goals, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or business management, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar professional experience in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong understanding and familiarity of Agile methodologies and development, product lifecycle management, and issue tracking tools (e.g., ADO, Jira).
  • Manages product backlogs and develops clear, actionable business requirements to guide development efforts.
  • Ability to learn and understand ARRT business processes in detail to help analyze complex business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ability to translate business goals, customer needs, and business values into clear product features and roadmaps, while maximizing customer impact.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills; adaptable to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate and negotiate.
  • Proficient in data analytics and the use of metrics to drive product decisions and measure success.
  • Proactive identification of risks, dependencies, and potential blockers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think strategically and make decisions.
  • Delivers and responds to feedback with professionalism and a growth mindset.
  • Demonstrate iterative product development with cross-functional teams.
Physical Demands
  • Close Visual Acuity: Preparing and analyzing data; viewing a computer screen; and extensive reading
  • Fingering: Typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers
  • Hearing: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound
  • Sedentary Work: Sitting most of the time; occasional walking and standing

Pay range is $95,402- $112,238 annually.
