Description

The Systems Engineer Specialist administers, secures, maintains, and supports ARRT’s infrastructure, cloud services, endpoint platforms, and enterprise applications while collaborating across departments to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Network Administration Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Maintain and enhance network as needed, including the DMZ, Windows servers, routers, firewalls, etc. with both hardware and software configurations and updates.
  • Maintain network security including firewalls and domain access.
  • Monitor firewall logs and reports.
  • Conduct Hyper-V maintenance and failover testing to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor and analyze system, network, cloud, and application performance.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring alerts, dashboards, and reporting metrics.

  • Create and maintain testing environments.
  • Develop and maintain a secure network in alignment with industry recommended best practices including PCI and ISO 27000.
  • Maintain antivirus and malware programs, data loss prevention, intrusion prevention, and wireless network security.
  • Manage operating system, application, and firmware patching processes.
  • Identify, evaluate, and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • Cloud Infrastructure, Identity, and Services
  • Manage and secure Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Defender, and Entra ID.
  • Support Azure cloud services, workload migrations, and hybrid infrastructure, including Azure AD Connect and related dependencies.
  • Administer identity and access controls, including lifecycle management, Conditional Access, MFA, device registration, SSO, and access reviews.
  • Configure and maintain Intune / Endpoint Manager for device provisioning, compliance, application deployment, endpoint security, and lifecycle reporting.
  • Monitor Microsoft Secure Score, remediate findings, document risk decisions, and manage application access through role-based assignments.
  • Miscellaneous Information Technology Support
  • Provide vendor support and serve as technical contact and resource.
  • Provide backup and support with Information Technology operational duties
  • Administer enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including validation, testing, retention management, and restoration activities.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce system standards, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Document architecture, configurations, processes, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Participate in professional development activities to remain current with best practices.
  • Support organizational priorities through active participation in ARRT Projects as assigned.
  • Proactively manage and deliver assigned ARRT project work.
  • Other duties as assigned and modified as business needs dictate.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Four years of systems and network administration experience, including:
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration.
  • Network infrastructure, circuits, and enterprise systems management.
  • Utility application support and administration.
  • Security appliance administration and security configuration management.
  • Two years of experience in administering and supporting:
  • Phone systems.
  • System and network monitoring tools.
  • Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Intune, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • Certified Information Systems Security professional (CISSP)
