Job Opportunity

Our Program and Delegated Authority business is one of the most strategically important and fastest-growing areas of BHSI. We partner with leading Brokers, MGAs, and Coverholders across specialty lines — and as we scale, the ability to onboard new programs efficiently, with high data integrity and strong operational controls, is critical to our success. We are investing in the people, platforms, and processes that will define how program business is managed at BHSI for years to come. This role sits at the heart of that effort — bringing together business insight, data expertise, and cross-functional leadership to make that growth sustainable and scalable.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Product Owner/BSA for program/delegated authority business onboarding — develop deep understanding of BHSI applications and associated data and make determinations on data interpretation to support onboarding.
  • Act as primary liaison across BHSI IT, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Finance, and Data & Analytics to align requirements and coordinate delivery from due diligence through go-live.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, design sessions, and status meetings across all stakeholder groups.
  • Manage cross-workstream dependencies, risks, and issues; elevate proactively when needed.
  • Negotiate and gather required policy, premium, claims, and risk exposure data from Brokers, MGAs, Coverholders, or TPAs in close collaboration with BHSI stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal BHSI teams and business stakeholders to develop insights, analytics, and reports that identify portfolio trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement — including monitoring Broker, MGA, Coverholder, and TPA adherence to Program Management Agreements (PMAs) and Binding Authority Agreements.
  • Define data standards, mapping rules, and validation criteria in partnership with cross-functional teams and external partners prior to onboarding.
  • Analyze and map data to verify accuracy and completeness, including identifying duplicate entries, missing information, or incorrect values.
  • Validate data accuracy and quality throughout the onboarding lifecycle; elevate data issues to internal teams as necessary and drive timely resolution.
  • Work with data engineering teams to integrate data into BHSI platforms.
  • Perform acceptance testing on loaded data to ensure reconciliation to source files and alignment with defined mapping and validation rules.
  • Monitor and address data quality issues post-load to ensure compliance with agreed standards and timelines.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for master/reference data management, data mapping, data modelling, and data integration within the Bordereaux Processing Platforms.
  • Maintain up-to-date process and training documentation for application procedures.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to ensure scalability, increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve oversight and decision-making.
  • Stay current on market standards and evolving bordereau data and processing requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Insurance/Risk Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or equivalent role in financial services or insurance.
  • 5+ years of experience in the (Re)insurance industry across US Property & Casualty, International Markets, or Life, Accident & Health segments.
  • Demonstrated experience with program/delegated authority business, including familiarity with bordereau reports (premium, claims, exposure).
  • Proven experience coordinating across cross-functional teams including IT, Operations, Underwriting, Claims, and Finance.
  • Experience negotiating and managing data requirements with external partners (Brokers, MGAs, Coverholders, or TPAs).
  • Strong ability to influence and work effectively across a global organization at all levels.
  • Motivated, team-oriented, with strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Strong skills in requirements elicitation, process mapping, data mapping, and gap analysis across business and technology teams.
  • Hands-on experience with UAT/acceptance testing — writing test cases, executing tests, and managing defect resolution.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or equivalent query tools for data validation and analysis.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities, particularly in data interpretation and problem resolution.
  • Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight in a fast‑ paced, changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Bordereaux processing platforms or Bordereau management systems used in program/delegated authority operations.
  • Familiarity with Binding Authority Agreements and Program Management Agreements (PMAs), including monitoring compliance against agreed terms.
  • Knowledge of insurance data standards such as ACORD, Lloyd's market standards, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Understanding data integration approaches (ETL, APIs, file-based exchange) in an insurance technology context — ability to engage meaningfully with data engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of insurance policy administration, claims, and financial/actuarial reporting platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid SDLC methodologies and associated tooling (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience in Lloyd's, London market, or E&S specialty lines environments.
  • Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements related to delegated authority arrangements.
  • Experience working in matrixed, global organizations with multi‑team, multi‑geography delivery models.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CPCU, AINS, or PMP are a plus.
