POSITION INFORMATION

The Mobile Computing Product Marketing Manager will report to the leader of the Mobile Computing Business Unit. This position oversees the assigned product line(s), managing the entire product lifecycle. Datalogic is a profitable, global high-tech company with a focus on expanding its Mobile Computing Business Unit, a key strategic area with ambitious plans.

ROLE MISSION

The Mobile Computing Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving the full lifecycle of the Mobile Computing product portfolio, from conception to end-of-life. Responsibilities include identifying customer needs, defining product requirements, developing market strategies, and enhancing product functionalities to ensure competitive positioning, market adoption, and business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect and analyze the "Voice of the Customer" (VoC) to define product requirements that guide development, updates, or obsolescence based on market trends and customer needs.
  • Monitor the technical development of the Mobile Computing product line, ensuring alignment with market requirements and time-to-market goals.
  • Define go-to-market strategies, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and product launch planning to support sales targets.
  • Assess the competitive landscape and refine product positioning to maintain competitiveness.
  • Develop marketing and training materials to support sales and customer adoption.
  • Provide training to sales teams, partners, and customers to ensure understanding of product capabilities and value.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties such as partners, distributors, resellers, and ISVs to promote Mobile Computing solutions.
  • Collaborate with R&D to define product roadmaps and oversee project lifecycles.
  • Act as a business liaison with key partners, customers, and internal teams to drive revenue, market share, gross margin, and product success.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Economics; Master's degree is a plus.

Primary Language

English; Italian or other languages are a plus.

Experience

Previous experience as a Product Owner of successful software and hardware products.

5+ years in Product Marketing Management (Hardware and Software solutions).

Technical knowledge of Mobile Computers or related industries (smartphones/tablets or other mobile devices).

Experience in Retail, T&L, Automation industries is a plus.

LOCATION: REMOTE USA with travel (domestic/international).

OTHER SKILLS

  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and flexibility in problem-solving and marketing strategy development.
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting market data and trends.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%) for customer meetings, industry events, and global collaboration.
